5 Star Bayern Munich strikes back

Both teams started the game on the front foot but it was Bayern who struck the first blow with the help of goal machine Robert Lewandowski. Soon after Mesut Ozil’s goal was wrongly disallowed which was swiftly followed by Thomas Muller first goal of the night after some woeful defending from Martin Debuchy. More careless defending was shown by Arsenal in the third goal as David Alaba curled a brilliant shot in the top corner as he was given too much space outside Arsenal’s box.

FIVE THINGS WE LEARNT AS MANCHESTER UNITED BEAT WOLFSBURG 2-1

Earlier tonight we saw Manchester United beat Wolfsburg in a nervy win at Old Trafford.

Wolfsburg drew first blood four minutes into the game as Max Kruse passed the ball to Daniel Caligiuri who finished with ease.

Juan Mata restored parity at the 34th minute after Caligiuri gave away a penalty. Chris Smalling won the match for Manchester United after pouncing on the rebound at the 53rd minute of the match. UEFA Champions League 2015 : Recap for Tuesday 29th September

Tuesday night’s fixture list had a similar outlook to match day one of the champions league. England’s finest had an off day as both Arsenal and Chelsea lost their respective games to Olympiakos and FC Porto. On the other hand Valencia and Barcelona won both their games against Lyon and Bayern Leverkusen.
