2015 A Year to Remember

The year 2015 in sports was filled with moments of madness which will be remembered for years to come.

Some Remarkable moments are mentioned below:

Elliot winning six against South Africa:

New Zealand needed 5 from 2 balls to reach their first ever world cup final. Dale Steyn steams in and pitches a full length ball which is dispatched for a six by Elliot towards long on. 45000 New Zealand fans in Eden Park roared with pride and joy while South African’s hearts were broken as they failed to qualify for a world cup final AGAIN!

Rugby Miracle:

Japan’s victory over South Africa in the first group match of the tournament was one of the biggest upsets in rugby’s history.

French Open:

Stan Wawrinka stunned Novak Djokovic in the French Open final in Paris which was Djokovic’s best shot to complete a career ‘grand slam’ in the absence of Rafael Nadal AKA the ‘King of Clay’.

Chilean Triumph:

Alexis Sanchez’s cheeky penalty made Chile the Kings of South America for the first time in almost a ‘century’. They defeated Argentina on a penalty shootout in the Copa America Final.
