An Irish triumph, A Scottish failure

Last night the most ecstatic fans would be from Northern Ireland as they qualified for the Euro for the very first time, there fans explained it feels like the glory days of 80’s when Northern Ireland qualified for back to back two world cup’s of 1982 & 1986. Steve Davis there captain led from the front and netted two goals so this Northern Irish football generation can come out of the shadows of Spain ’82 and Mexico ’86 and make their own history in Euro 2016.


Scottish weren’t as lucky as there neighbors as they failed to qualify for the ninth time in a row when the news came that Ireland have scored in Dublin, but still Scottish team entertained there fans with some brilliant goals one was from Matt Ritchie a 25 yard screamer and the second one was a Steven Fletcher left footed curling shot. Scotland’s one of the finest qualifying campaign in recent times ended with another failure.


Shane Long stunned the world champions Germany to lift Ireland to 18 points level with Poland, who they will face next, thanks to Robert Lewandowski’s 94th minute equalizer against Scotland.
